I had arrived so early that only one other person was waiting. He remarked, "We still have a half an hour to wait, I guess we should not have been so early!" Eventually, the instructor arrived and everyone went in and sat down. Once we were all seated I was reassured to see other people my age in the class. It was a great feeling once class got started. The instructor seemed helpful and encouraging. After the class was over, all the distress and fear I had possessed before class had gone and was replaced with a new worry, a healthy one that gave me confidence and made me feel driven. So, in the end, I learned a valuable lesson that can be relevant to others in many different situations. I was worried for so many years that maybe I was not smart enough to go to college or to be a nurse. Once I was able to find the confidence in myself to take the first steps I realized that I am not alone, there are other people in similar situations coming back to school to get a fresh start as well. It is important that people not be afraid to ask for help or to ask questions. We cannot let the fear of our past or the fear of the unknown hold us back from accomplishing our goals and
