A hero faces with composure challenges; Franklin D. Roosevelt had an indomitable fortitude when he faced the crises of America during his presidency. He entered office knowing his presidency would prove difficult. His four terms presided at a time of economic disaster and World War II – the role as president during this time was a gamble. However, Roosevelt not only had the work ethic but also the foresight to repair the country during its time of despair. He was willing to become the hero that America desperately needed. Not only did Franklin Delano Roosevelt have to solve conflicts of the U.S and foreign countries but with his health as well when he contracted poliomyelitis. As the president, Roosevelt put the country above all else, even himself. His unyielding loyalty for his country and his people was proven when he decided to take the fourth term as president even though it was critical for his life that he retires.
