A Friend I Will Never Forget
There are people who you call friends ans ther are some that make you feel special like nobody else in the world. Well, I met somebody like that and there isn't anybody that I have come into contact with more sweet and considerat like he is. With him the word friends has a totally different meaning. Our genuine friendship isn't spurious. It is true and genuine. When hard times arise, he comes and lays his firm, manly hands on my shoulders and when I look into his cherubic face,it assures me that everything will be alright. I told him ny utter most deepest secrets that I never told anyone, and he gave me an oath of trust and secrecy that he wouldn't tell anyone. We've been friends for four whole years and our friendshiip has become stronger each year. Wherever he was i was right there with him like an accomplice in a murder. His diligent, stern, upfront attituse attracted me to him because friends like them didn't take lowness and I like that about people.

Then, there was a problem. he wasn't talking as much and his comely appearance changed into a pensive gaze. I often found him in a morose mood and I would share my thoughts and feelings his mind was opaque like a thick wall and it seemed like I was talking to myself. Then breaking the silence I asked him what happened. His face was blank, but he then told me that he was moving to another city far away from here because his parents had gotten a job tranfer. I was motionless, acting the same way he was acting when I first saw him. I saw the tears trickle from his lonely eyes rolling down his black cheeks like snowballs in an avalanche. This then moved me. i could feel the water pouring out of my eyes like a weary dam giving way after the persistent river breaks through. I groped for his hands and we vowed again, like the first vow we had mad when we first decided to be best friends, not to ever forget one another and to write whenever each of us could.

I gave hin something that he could remember me by, and he gave

The jacket still smelled of him. The faint scent of cologne was his, as I put it on, I felt something in the pockets, as I pulled it out I realized this was a note. I opened it and realized this one undeniably my mother’s handwriting. The note said “Wherever you go, just know that your brother and I will always love you, just keep in mind that there is always a place in this house for you, I love you”. I felt a sharp pain in my chest, lumps in my throat, before I knew it my cheeks grew warmer and I felt tears streaming down my face. This was the first time I had cried since my mother…

Hey, I know we haven’t talked to each other or seen each other in a while, but I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately and I want you to know I miss you. I regret what happened. I want to see you again. I just miss you. I just miss you. I miss you. It is so strange that someone I knew so well, is now a total stranger to me. That sometimes I go entire days without thinking about you. Most of the time I let myself forget because it is easier. But I find something, a photo, a gift, and the stupid love letters we used to give to each other. The full weight of what is being tossed crushes down on me. Part of me wants to see you again, hold you again, and all of those feelings become empty thought. When I look back at it now, remembering that love isn’t always what it seems. It is just so easy to forget, but this isn’t regret. We had our reasons for ending it and they were as valid as ever. But back at the start, back when it all began, we didn’t need any reasons to fall in love. We just did. The reasons came at the end……

Growing up I did not have that many friends. There were a few that I talked to, but only a handful that I truly felt close to. I did, however, meet who was and still is one of my closest friends. We knew each other through first grade, and we remained close until third grade; that was the year he had to move away. I remember him leaving hitting me hard, even though I was young I was still crushed at the harsh disappearance of my friend. It wasn't until seventh grade that we reconnected. He had moved back to the Southeast Polk school district, and we happened to have the same science class. After that, we started hanging out again, and he had told me about his time away. We lived very different lives, and when he told me about…

He kept his end of the bargain for a fair amount of time. With him visiting every weekend, life went on for all of us how it had beforeー except that there was a brother-shaped hole in my life and it seemed like no matter what I did, I could not fill it up. Surrounding myself with positivity, I tried to pretend that I would not be spending the next four years without having my best friend by my side. However, all my efforts went in vain and I became the moon surrounded by a million stars, yet always chasing the…

The first realization I came to was that friends are more than people I may occasionally see in passing, or at social events. Although these people may be friendly and fun to be around, I consider them acquaintances, not friends. Unlike an acquaintance, a friend is someone with whom I genuinely enjoy being around and can call upon other than just when a favor is needed. Real friends know one another’s birthday, favorite color, pets’ names, parents’ names, etc. True friends will do whatever is necessary to ensure they are involved in each other’s lives.…

Friendship is the time that we were blasting eighties music while driving around town, all off key at the top of our lungs, but enjoying every second of it. Even a year later, when I hear that same song on the radio, it takes me back to the special times I shared with such special people. Friendship is about being able to just sit around someone’s house, and still being able to have a good time. It is silent conversations, late night talks, finishing each other’s sentences and shared secrets. It is a lifetime filled with shared memories of laughter and love. Friendship is truer and rarer than the deepest of loves because best friends really are…

A friend is a person who will always give you a hand when you are in need or offer you comfort when you get into trouble; a friend is a person who you trust and can rely on. In addition, a friend is a person who you can share your secrets with and talk freely without any pressure. Joseph Addison once said, “The greatest sweetener of human life is friendship. To raise this to the highest pitch of enjoyment, is a secret which but few discover.” Hence, Friendship love makes people’s life more colorful and wonderful.
