Gandhi faced many obstacles in his life one of them being discrimination/racism. Gandhi faced racism when he growing up. Gandhi faced racism since his parents were both Indian so he looked different (History.com staff). Gandhi also faced racism when he was on a train in a first class seat he paid for but a European wanted his seat so he got throw of the train and beat by other passengers(Frand). Gandhi was a courageous leader by leading peaceful marches. Probably his most famous being the salt march where they marche 390 km to the ocean and made salt which was against British law(Sinha). Gandhi also showed courage by starting to hand weave so Indian wouldn’t have to buy fabric from Britain so they could make their own clothing(History.com Staff). Also during WW2 Gandhi told all Indians to boycott all British goods(Franda).
