When we identify ourselves class may be the first thing that pops up. I know for me I identify myself with my class. I’m in the hard working class both my parents aren't the richest people in the world but they provide for us and we appreciate it. For Junot, his class identify him
and affected the way he lived. Both his parents didn't have stable jobs but would still spend money back to the Dominican Republic. I and Junot share a similar situation in the fact both our parents sent money back to our countries even if they short of money. I think class identifies the both of us because we aren't wealthy and we see that our relations back home need the money more than us even if it 100 dollars. Junot Diaz said, “ 300 smackers was the difference between life with meat and life without, between electricity and stone age” (913). In Nigeria, 300 dollars is a lot and could feed them for a month. That's why when I look at myself class comes up because of people back in Nigeria.
