Gender is something we use to identify ourselves for social construct purposes. Sex is defined by the gametes being produced in the body. Males produce male gametes and females produce female ones, however many people are actually capable of producing both male and female gametes at birth, so basing our gender on sex would make no sense because many people would otherwise have no gender to be considered as …show more content…
How do gender and sex contribute to the concepts and constructions of masculinity and femininity?
Femininity and masculinity or a person gender this refers to how a person view themselves as a woman or man in society. Males usually look at themselves as being masculine and females usually looks at themselves as being feminine. There is a possibility that that a female view themselves as being masculine or a man to view his self as feminine.
