Abstract
The study examined the gender differences in attitude of senior secondary school vocational agriculture students in learning-by-doing in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State, Nigeria. In pursuit of the objective, three research questions were formed. The sample size was six schools and Two hundred (78 males and 122 females) students. The schools were purposively selected but the students were in intact groups. The research instrument was a self-designed questionnaire named Attributes of Demography and Attitude on Learning-By-Doing Questionnaire. The data analysis was done with descriptive analyses of frequency, percentages, mean and standard deviation while inferential analyses such as Independent t-test, ANOVA and MANOVA were performed to show significant difference that could occur between the dependent and independent variables. The result of mean attitudinal behaviour for male is 23.57, that of female is 28.96 with the SD of 0.51, 0.57 respectively and t-value (0.943: p>0.05) shows that gender is not a significant factor. It suggested amidst others that active learning strategies when provided by the Vocational Agriculture Teacher at the senior secondary school will encourage learning-by-doing on the part of the students.
