When the film begins, Kate Macer, one of the cast member in the film is presented and is obviously some sort of agent. From one of the scenes at the beginning of the film, it is easy to tell that Macer is very skilled and good at what she does. Since the city is so poor and the amount of criminal activity is unbelievable, the whole city is judged and looked upon in a negative manner. Not only is the city being judged, but all the people who populate it are as well. The drug cartels and criminals make the regular Mexican citizens look bad. These cartels give all the Mexican citizens a very bad reputation. Mexican citizens are portrayed as drug lords and people who lead up to no good.
