George And Lennie Monologue
Hello, this is George and I'm going to tell the story of me and Lennie. I remember a long time ago I used to be best friends with this tall, strong man named Lennie. He looked tough on the outside, but he was a kid on the inside. I remember when we both had to look for a job. We were looking for an old bunkhouse. It was hard since I almost had to babysit Lennie. And Lennie has been searching for quite some time now. But all the jobs are rejecting us because of Lennie. They don’t want a dumb man or what they call him to be roaming around on the job site, not knowing what to do. I remember one time, while me and Lennie were in a town called Weed. In the bunk house, we saw an old man there, without his right hand. We went up to the old man. He greeted us and told us he was Candy. He told us that the boss was angry that we didn;t arrive the previous day. But I told Candy that it was tough to bring Lennie along. My boss asked why I was so late. I then proceeded to tell him that our bus was late. He wanted to know a little more about our background. So I did the talking so that he wouldn't find out that Lennie was a numb nut. Me and Lennie had a little conversation, but I noticed that Candy was being a little nosy. I confronted him about it and I said I don't like it when people eavesdrop on me when I'm talking to someone. Candy then went off to get food so that he could prepare and feed the men in the field. Me and Lennie went
