George Washington's Beliefs
George Washington was the first president of the United States and the leader of the rebel army. George was a fearless general and an outstanding leader. George Washington was one of the many founding fathers, but one of the most known people throughout American history. George was not always so magnificent though, he had some ups and downs. George grew up in a wealthy family and became a land surveyor. George Washington was a huge part of American history so I will talk about his background, why he believed what he believed, and his significance.

His beliefs though are another thing. George was a democrat and ran the government democratic when he was the president. There is no solid fact on what George Washington believed in, but historians believe that he was a Christian. He believed in the freedom of speech, equal rights, and freedom in general. When the other founding fathers were around Washington he rarely talked about religious beliefs or purposes. George Washington may have been an amazing president and military official, but people don't look deeper into who he really was. George Washington was a stepfather to two young children, Jacky and Patsy. George that that it was his duty to be generous and attentive to those two children. His daughter Patsy had everything a teenage girl could want, but soon they figured out that she was epileptic and died from a seizure. They then focused all their attention on Jacky. He wasn’t doing very good in school and disobeyed a lot. He eventually Jacky died in an army encampment in the Continental. He and Martha then moved to a rented home in New York. It would make sense because they both have and had similar views on government because they were both democratic.
