this would have to imply how Jones is as an adult to say this is true that he grew as a person, he said it helped him. If he liked comic books and as an adult he has written for Marvel Comics, that seems like success to me. He relates to the Hulk in the comics because they are both under socialized.
Jones is so, because his parents are sheltering him and well he said the Hulk was. You could say he has conducted surveys on the effects of comic books because he has talked to people from around the world that has said how comic books have helped them deal with emotional events in their life. Could there be some confirmation bias here, maybe. It fits his life store, yes. Does he write comic book stores, yes. I’m sure he is paid for his work, so he would have an interest to move his product. He does provide a detailed story about how his kid is scared to climb a tree. He then provides his child some comic books and with the help of the character Tarzan, the boy over comes his fear and climbs a tree. Tarzan does swing from trees and seems to be fearless in the jungle with his animal friends. If the kid idolizes the character, then maybe it inspired him to be brave and the world from a tree as his possible hero
does. The list goes on, he tells of other stories and how comics have helped kids overcome challenges in their life. He may even have a thing for arts in general, mostly he talks about social evolvement from comic books, but does also talks about a girl that was into gangster rap. She didn’t follow the crowd of heavy drug users. The women went onto college, becoming a writer and political activist. For the most part he seems to have sound arguments that violence and comic books are good for kids and is needed to allow for a person to grow. He makes his argument with story seem logical with real life events and even agrees that some people are inspired by violence that leads them to hurting people.
