The aging process is a complex stage of life, further than imaginable. There are several variables taking place in this stage of life, variables that range from the physical to the spiritual. As the course progressed, my initial assumptions were dissipating as my knowledge on the subject was becoming wider.

We can have an impact from a socializing perspective to the regimen of medications taken daily, however, always within the scope of the practice. The effects that we as physical therapists and occupational therapists have are only limited by the scope of our business practices. Furthermore, we can create safer environments, augment personal interactions, and develop plans of care targeting an outstanding quality of life by integrating them to the community. Also, we can accommodate therapy to the economical, geographical and cultural challenges. We as health care professionals have an ethical responsibility towards our patients.
