Supercentenarians are those people blessed with super long life span: 110 years and up.

What could be the secrets they hold?

Five supercentenarians shared their thoughts to Independent.

Italy’s Emma Morano (November 29 1899 - April 15, 2017; 117 years old)

Her secret? Two words: “Being single,” she said.

She once got married but left her domineering husband in 1938.

After getting diagnosed with anemia when she was 20, she started to include two raw eggs and one cooked egg in her daily diet.

She also enjoyed eating cookies and avoided meat.
