People are like wolves, together they are fierce, but the lone wolf is mysterious, powerful, and wise. Resorting to reclusive tendencies not only is the feeding ground for the deepest of intellectual thinking, but it also is the opening to the mind of one’s self. Anthony Storr discusses this type of principle. His principle states freedom from society and responsibility is the key to achieving the highest amount of creativity and obtaining invaluable experience. This is apparent in the story of Chris McCandless, a man who ventures into not only a journey into Alaska, but into a journey of discovering himself. He stripped himself from the entangling web of relationships most humans cannot live without, and he chose to go toward a path of solitude.…

It has an area with edible and medicinal plants, and It also has a fruit and spice room inside the conservatory. One building I really found intriguing was the Center for Sustainable Landscapes; They say it's one of the greenest buildings on earth. This building produces all of its own energy and also treats ad reuses all water it captures from rain. Imagine if this can be implemented on a global scale. It can surely change the world for the better and help solve electricity and energy problems in third-world countries. There was another building known as the Production Greenhouse and it contains 36,000 square feet of energy efficient growing space. This is something else that, if implemented on a global scale, can create a much more efficient food production system and help…

The exterior is very chic and you can see the beautiful lighting display from outside from the glass wall and door. At the entrance, is a tiny red carpet with a rope and palm trees. There is also a doorman to greet you. The exterior has an elegant Caribbean restaurant feel to it. It reminds me of the tourist part of Jamaica (such as Montego Bay, Negril, and Ocho Rios) which has a lot of fancy restaurants.…

As I start my walk at Rogers Hall, I notice it truly holds some history. The old antebellum building is erected by bricks that have weathered over time and the windows are accompanied by green plantation shutters. The campus expands in all directions from there. The buildings are laid out so that one cannot simply walk from one building to the next without stopping to notice the landscape he or she is walking on. The buildings are spaced so that there are natural open spaces between them in which there are intricate pathways one must walk to get from place to place. These pathways invite students to wander on foot or bike through them while admiring the vast area that the campus possesses. These pathways are neatly laid paths consisting of concrete and brick winding around buildings, under bridges, and by popular student gatherings such as the fountain.…
