Global Warming Is Affecting Animals

Global warming is causing species to respond to a warmer climate by moving to cooler locations. Most animals live in areas with very specific climate conditions, such as temperature that enable them to thrive. Any change in the climate of an area can affect the animals living there, as well as the makeup of the entire ecosystem, global warming is causing these issues. Many animals are harmed and/or killed by global warming. Water temperature is affecting many animals, which is causing population to decline in many species that require cold water to survive. "Rising ocean temperatures cause coral bleaching, leading to the collapse of ecosystems, which contain a huge amount of fish. Animals that need to live in cold places, like on mountaintops or in the Arctic, might not have a suitable place to live." (Plants, Animals, and Ecosystems) The change in the climate effects animals because of the major change in climate temperatures, cold blooded and warm blooded animals are affected by global warming, because species that require cold water and warm water to live are dying because of the major water temperature changes that global warming is causing. Global warming is changing the climate so fast. Species may not be able to adapt to this rapid climate change or to move fast enough to more suitable areas as their current areas become less suitable for them, so they often die.
