Why Polar Bears Are Dying
Polars Bears are dying because the ice caps are melting because of global warming. Scientist have proof that humans are the cause of most of global warming and it has been that way from the mid-1900’s to now. We need to slow down global warming or the polar bears will die and a lot of other animals that live on the ice caps. If the ice caps melt that will rise the sea level and a lot of people will die. Global warming is getting worse causing melting icecaps which is caused by rising temperatures and deforestation is happening which is also a cause of global warming. Deforestation is the damage of forests. Deforestation is mostly caused by humans because we cut down the trees to build building and other stuff. In the past the world was once

Deforestation refers to the complete destruction of forest cover, whether this destruction is due to land-clearing for cattle ranching, small holder agriculture, (Haiti) plantation agriculture, or parking lots. Deforestation means that the land is converted permanently from forest uses to non-forest purposes. Deforestation is much more serious than forest degradation. Forest degradation may change the…

Global warming is very bad for the polar bears and all the other animals that live in the snow biome. The reason why it is bad is because the warming of the earth is causing the ice and snow to melt. Which means that the polar bears will not have a place to live this is already happening in some polar parts. Once all the snow and ice melts the polar bears will not have anywhere to live and they won't be able to eat. Which leads to all the animals to become extinct and there will be no more polar areas.…

This article explains how climate change has been rapidly melting the Arctic over the course of a few years. As a result, the faster the arctic melts the more damage will be done to the ecosystem, planet, and humans. A few examples of how drastically climate change has shaped the North are that the sea ice covering the Arctic Ocean began to decrease in size when it should have been increasing in size. Also, temperatures at the North Pole rose more than 20 degrees Celsius. These changes are causing polar bears to randomly stroll the shorelines of Hudson Bay in order to wait for the water to freeze. Researchers predicted by the year 2030 the Arctic may lose all of the ice. As a result, no ice in the arctic means ecosystems will be affected badly,…

Is a fact that polar bears’ fundamental key to the survival is the sea ice, which provides them a vital platform for hunting seals; and, when the sea melts in summer they migrate to land, where they save energy by overwintering. But because of global warming, polar bears are moving towards areas with more persistent year-round sea ice and sometimes they are undergoing seasonal migrations following the movements of the ice pack. While migration polar bears are exposed to danger and their lives could be…

There’s even a whole website dedicated to people that believe climate change is a hoax/scam. Elmer Beauregard, the author of “Top Ten Reasons Climate Change is a Hoax”, expressed, “Al Gore predicted that oceans would rise by 20 feet by 2100. However, it looks like we’re on track for about a foot. Many tide gauges show no rise in sea level, and almost none show any acceleration over the past 20 years.” Beauregard may be correct, but this does not prove or confirm that climate change is a hoax. He also declares that “Polar bears are thriving,” however polar bears are ranked with the conservation status “vulnerable,” which means the day they go extinct could be very soon. Possibly within the next ten years if we continue our inhumane…

Yes, it is important that humanity acts to save the bears because the leading cause is because of the extinction of the polar bears. Human’s activities have been causing global warming to a very threatening or extreme level. This due to the increasing levels of environmental pollution by human being. Both human activities and industry’s activities have caused the atmospheric changes and other severe climatic changes and therefore we humans should be held accountable for the possible damages.…

The young teen climbs up the stairs and smiles. Looking down at her phone, she doesn't realize that she just killed a polar bear. She runs back downstairs, realizing she left the faucet on, and the lights too, but it is too late. This is carbon Footprints and climate change are real, and this is it. If the climate change keeps changing at this level, the polar caps will melt. Even the slightest spike in your carbon footprint can negatively impact the environment. This is not some extraterrestrial event that randomly happened. This has happened for many, many years. This is the work of us, humans. Things like this happen every day. Climate change will harm the environment because of the effect on the polar caps, its source is even worse, and…

Global climate change has an effect on everyone and everything. Through scientific studies it has become easier to predict the changes to be expected in the near and far future. There are effects on socioeconomic statuses and on the health of people, but prior to that are the effects there are on the natural environment surrounding all of us (Streletski et al., 2012). The constant warming of our climate is causing changes in sea ice distribution and the freeze up of that ice. The habitat of polar bears (Ursus maritimus) is being severely affected by this loss of ice and has many negative effects on their long-term survival (Stirling and Derocher, 2012). These majestic animals are widely spread across ice-covered areas of seas of the Arctic, the ice is their primary habitat to breed and live while hunting both on land and in the water. Although they can swim for certain periods of time, they cannot survive in the water for very long, so without ice covered land to come back to the polar bears begin to drown. In the southern subpopulations, out of 19 that are known to be inhabited, it was known that the polar bears would fast for an average of four months while ice melted…

Global Warming is causing the decrease of polar bear populations due to the loss of habitat, scarcity of food, and higher mortality rates in pups. There are nineteen subpopulations of polar bears in the world. They are called "subpopulations" because they are not genetically distinct to one area but generally inhabit nineteen different areas across the circumpolar arctic. A study showed that between 2001 and 2010 there was a 40% population decrease of these bears and according to a U.S Geological Survey, two-thirds of Ursus Maritimus (the scientific name for the polar bear) are projected to disappear by 2050. Polar bears all around the world rely on sea ice which is being melted and shifted from global warming. They rely on the ice for hunting…

Deforestation is the permanent destruction of indigenous forests and woodlands. The term does not include the removal of industrial forests such as plantations of gums or pines. Deforestation has resulted in the reduction of indigenous forests to four-fifths of their pre-agricultural area. Indigenous forests now cover 21% of the earth's land surface.…
