GMOs
In order to create ample fruits and vegetables, food in general, that will be enough to sustain a population, suppliers use genetically modified substances to multiply the amount of product produced. I believe the use of GMOs is necessary for the continued production of food ample enough to maintain the population, due to their ability to increase food supply, help underfed nations, and assist farmers.
The use of GMOs is important in today’s society. Our populations continue to grow; this means that not only will Earth’s inhabitants be using more of Earth’s natural and nonrenewable resources, but the food supplies won’t be created fast enough to continue supplying everyone with food. The increase in food supply that GMOs offer is a large benefit to societies all over the world. The use of GMOs is also very beneficial in how the increase of food supply is deemed efficient. Corn, for example, is the most important and widely known grain in the United States.
However, corn cannot reproduce without human aid, and the GMOs aid in that. GMOs yield to create a larger and more effective use of the land, along with less use of pesticides,
The genetic engineering of plants has not only the potential to provide means of sustenance, but it also has the ability to create edible plants vaccines that have the ability to immunize individuals from several harmful diseases. These vaccines will be helpful, and also can be created in bulk due to the effectiveness of GMOs. One example of such a medicine that
has already been created and tested is the transgenic potato plant. The potato plant is known for delivering a pharmaceutical immunization to diarrhea.
GMOs also aid in creating a better life for those that live in underdeveloped nations. Most countries around the world are underdeveloped, which can result in very low supplies of food and water, almost not enough to sustain the
