Today, I have noticed recently is how many people use plastic bags when shopping for groceries. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. There are so many obvious reasons reusable bags are better to use! Reusable bags are, of course, reusable, reliable, they save businesses money, and they are better for the environment.
A reusable shopping bag, is a type of shopping bag which can be reused several times. It is often made from fabric or a thick plastic that is more durable than disposable plastic bags, allowing multiple use. Reusable shopping bags are a kind of carrier bag, which are available for sale in supermarkets and apparel shops. Reusable shopping bags require more energy to produce than common plastic shopping bags. One reusable bag requires the same amount of energy as an estimated 28 traditional plastic shopping bags or eight paper bags.
There are countless reasons why you should start to use reusable shopping bags. Since plastic bags aren’t biodegradable. They actually go through a process called photo degradation—breaking down into smaller and smaller toxic particles that contaminate both soil and water, and end up entering the food chain when animals accidentally ingest them.
