Going To College After High School
Imagine someone being 17 years old with a few months left until high school graduation and on their own with the future to think about; that person was me. I decided that I was going to wait a couple of years before I went back to school and I really wish that I wouldn’t have. If I wouldn’t have waited, I would already be done with my degree and making good money. Students should attend college immediately after high school to better their education, achieve independence, and earn higher wages. Students who choose to go to college in the fall after graduation have an opportunity to better their education right away and may have more time to do so. When waiting a few years, a student may have other obligations that prevent them from going full time and being done sooner. Going to college after high school gives students the opportunity to receive a higher education in a field of their choice. Students have many resources when going to college immediately, such as libraries, professional documents, and their professors. High school …show more content…
After a student has finished their college degree they will be ready for the real world, especially if they have lived on their own through college. After earning a living on their own in college, students will be ready to save the money they earn and move on with their life. Some colleges even help students with job placement after college depending on their degree. Students who get help with job placement have really great opportunities, as they have already been on their own for a couple of years and start to make good money right away. Going to college the following fall semester after high school and bettering your education quicker is a really great choice for students, especially if they take the time to go full time.
