The Byzantine Empire’s Golden age was called the “Pax Romana”. They were the first culture to experience the Golden Age. During the Pax Ramana, the Justinian Codes was made by using the 12 tables from Rome. It was the world first set of laws and helped bought order to society. The Byzantine also helped the spread of Orthodox Christianity as they made that their primary religion. Another achievement from the Byzantine Empire would their advances in art and architecture and their most famous structure would be the “Hagia Sophia”, an Orthodox Church.
The Han Dynasty’s Golden Age was massive. It brought out many new inventions and ideas that helped society prosper. The Hans build a road like no others. It stretched from China to Europe and it was called the Silk Road. The Silk Road was one of the largest trading routes known to men. The trading goods consist of fruits, vegetables, seed, jades, and their primary item, silks. Silk was China’s most valuable good since no one else knew where it came from or how it was made. The Hans also came up with ideas and inventions such a paper, printing press, compass, and their own writing system called “Calligraphy”. Like the Romans, China also had their own government system and created their own currency and government jobs called the “Civil Services”.
