Good Parent Qualities
There are many characteristics that an individual can have to be a good parent. The following is what I believe is important characteristics that are needed to be a successful parent for a child’s growth and development in becoming well balanced adults. The first characteristic on top of my list is respect; we know that respect can go a long way in our child’s development. A child is introduced to respect by the way their parent’s display it in front of them and in public. While teaching your child respect, you have to also stay firm because you are still raising your child and you are not there best friend. Another good trait to have is compassion, when you show your child compassion this open the door of communication and trust with them. When a child can see that their parent’s is compassionate to listening to their concerns it builds their relationship to being closer as they grow. Another characteristic that develops and strengthen a child as they grows is trust.
This can be simply achieved by taking the approach of allowing your child to make decisions in small increments based on their age. This also shows your child that their thoughts matter, but you have to also remember to remain stern on rearing your child because they also need to understand that they cannot make decisions on everything. The most important characteristic that takes top precedence is displaying leadership. Your child should look up to you first as a role model and someone that they can learn healthy habits from. When a parent enforces rules for their children it allows the child to see that there is structure in the way that things have to be done and they will be recognized for following the rules that is put in place for them.
In conclusion, these are just some things that I feel is important and will be needed to be a successful parent in raising a healthy child. There are so many other qualities that make a great parent have a successfully child or
