“Good Speakers Are They Born or Made?”
Have you ever heard the phrase “He’s a Natural Born Speaker”?
Well, when I was growing up, I often heard that comment but I can’t recall hearing “He or She’s is a Born Speaker” anymore which I suspect may be simply a reflection of the times, which we know have changed, and perhaps its unsubstantial nature but, that’s a good thing.

A “Natural Born Speaker.” Is there really such a person? Well before I stamp my opinion on this issue and question too, I will look for only surviving inconclusive evidence that explains this oblivious scenery that being a
“Natural Born Speaker” is really “natural” as a result of genetics.
However, so far as I know, the contentious13 year Human Genome Project, completed in 2003, has yet to discover a “Speaking Gene.” Of course, interpretation of the results continues today and we might be surprised to

discover that in fact there is a “Speaking Gene” but I wouldn’t hold my breath for that result.
Well, if not genetic, then what does account for a person being labelled a
“Born Speaker?” If it’s not Nature, then I suppose it’s Nurture. While it
Doesn’t have the same ring, maybe “Nurture Born Speaker” is what we should be using, but that’s not the phrase. Is it? No. The phrase that we use and accept is “A Natural Born Speaker” funny enough its sound though and when used, we think of qualities such as: a really good talker, an inspiring Speaker, someone who could sell anything to anyone, a motivating communicator, an entertainer etc. So then do the qualities make a “Natural Born Speaker?” or does the Speaker makes the qualities?
“Oratorical skill” is one of the unempirical and old label too, not one we use much anymore. Consequently, if you research “Orator” you’ll soon find yourself perusing personalities from ancient Greece of the early1900’s when the word seems to have passed out
