Ethic is a code of deduction and conduct administered by a mix of individual, good, lawful, and social measures of what is correct. Yes, I do see business ethics in Google’s new approach of combining information of users. Accessing large amount of sensitive data can in way increase revenue for the company which will be further advantageous for the shareholders. However the theory states that it is duty of the manager who work as agents of the stockholders to increase profit in legal and non-fraudulent ways. And also a long term view of the shareholder interest should be considered. This theory states that people other than the stakeholder are equally important and their interest should be equally considered which if not done might hamper the company badly. Google had decided to use the account data to control information flow to the Users this might create a sense of doubt in the mind of the Users and a detailed tracking of the information might cause them to look out for other options if available. Since this is highly sensitive data related to every User it should be used in the interest of the people. There can however be a benefit to this approach which will help User to easily find what he is looking for depending on his prior interest.
