Different sources of media always have different perspectives on the same topic. Despite how much evidence and other known information, one source will always have different thoughts than the others. In the case of George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin, two well-known news reports, CNN and The New York Times present the same topic in various ways. The news networks both discuss what happened the night Trayvon Martin was killed, but the main differences are the attention-getting techniques, the complexity, and the sequence of information.…
In the Presidential Debate of 2012, presidential candidate Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama both explain their views and key aspects on taxes, oil/energy, and immigration by arguing and stating their opinions and ideas. However Barack Obama conveys his message more directly and thoroughly than Romney.…
Climatically so, the intent of Goldberg's main argument was to unmask the media bias which is strikingly seen in news coverage all over the nation. Conclusively, Bias illustrates essential key points to enhance its case. Though all in all, it is seen while descriptively depicting these vital points, Bias drifts toward self-perspicacity; judgments shaped by individual opinions and feelings, rather than outside influences. Undoubtedly, Bias has a bias of its own. One which overtly favors Goldberg in an eye-catching and an apparent manner. It is highly suggested that future readers of Bias must learn to accept the good among the bad as well as Goldberg's insights along with his insults by which are repeatedly offered. Conclusively, Goldberg…
Zinser then makes the claim that ‘fake’ news causes two vices, the first being deception due to the lack of valuing objectivity in their reports. The second is dilution, both in the quality of media from the variance of online sources as well as adding excessive news reports attracting more viewers to what is typically a hard news source. Zinser also reminds us of the beneficial aspects in ‘fake’ news. Empirical data suggests a trend that either viewers of The Daily Show are better informed than those watching hard news because of its effectiveness, or, on the other hand that it attracts viewers who already know about the current events being discussed, evidence of its success.…

For a long time, the world has been experiencing a lot of situations that include violence and terrorist attacks. One of the most recent happened in Paris when 3 terrorists connected to ISI, which has relation with Al-Qaeda, attacked a newspaper and killed 12 people. Newt Gingrich wrote an article entitled “ We Are Losing the War Against Radical Islam”, which talks about radical Islam and their attacks against the U.S. Gingrich claims that the U.S is failing the mission of stopping Islamic terrorists, and if Congress does not take severe steps to change that situation, Radical Islam will win this War. He states three points to prove how Radical Islam has been approaching the U.S, and each point he exemplifies with previous Islamic attacks against the United States of America. This article is considered credible and convincing due to fact that it utilizes two convincing rhetorical elements, which are evidence…
While reviewing both Fox News and MSNBC, I tried both to find comparative narration in opinion and objective based reporting, and found it quite difficult. Whether on TV or the internet sites for the respective news outlets, it was a strenuous activity to find reports that provided commentary on an exact issue. I noticed that several times, when on the websites, one would have articles surrounding what they projected as an important news bulletin, while the other would have no mention of such details, no matter how deeply I searched.…
They must know what they are arguing about. They have to have done some type of research in order to put forth a logical argument. Yarrow and O’Donnell have both done many studies on today’s generation so they are able to back up their arguments with example and facts really well.…

For this assignment I chose two of the most popular weekly news programs. The first was “Meet the Press” from my local NBC affiliate out of Chicago on March 2nd Sunday morning. It was hosted by Chuck Todd and aired at 10am. The second was from my local Fox channel also based in Chicago and was “Fox News Sunday”. It was hosted by Chris Wallace and aired at 9am on March 2nd Sunday morning. I chose these two shows due to the fact they aired at approximately the same time, on the same day, and therefore were in direct competition. Additionally Fox news is generally regarded to be a conservative based network, while NBC and their affiliates are generally considered to be influenced by liberal ideas.…

The five agents of socialization heavily influence a person’s political beliefs and views on different issues. Family and friends can influence a person on major political positions and even affect if that person considers themselves liberal, conservative, or moderate. A liberal is open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values. A conservative holds to traditional attitudes and values and is cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion. A moderate holds moderate views in politics and sits between the extremes of liberal and conservative beliefs. Because more Americans see both sides of complex issues and see both parties as overly ideological and wish politicians would compromise more, they identify themselves as moderates than as liberals or conservatives.…
Of course you may disagree with me and prefer Limbaugh. I may disagree with you and prefer Stern. That is our right as Americans. What offends me is that the right wing, secure in its own right to offend, now wants to punish Stern to the point where he may be forced off the air.…
