Of the many problems that governments and society as a whole is facing today, it is easy to get hung up on just solving those few, that have a more immediate consequence if left to itself. For example, a country like India facing a power crisis is more or less, inclined to dig up its coal and oil reserves, in order to meet with the demand of its growing industrial sector so as to boost up the lagging economy. But by doing so, it is opening up a portal to a new set of problems including deforestation and wildlife reduction. In order to solve the current issue it has raised a few, for it to resolve in the future. When logically, the proper course should have been to consider the ramifications of the action that have been decided upon, before actually following them through.
Evidently, in my opinion, no government can focus on the immediate problems overlooking the same that may potentially arise in the future.
