graduation speech
A good speech for an elementary graduation would depend on who is going to be doing the speaking. For a teacher, you'll want to make sure you thank the students for all of their hard work and wish them the best in the next grade they move up to. For kids, they can thank their teacher for a good year and thank their parents for their support. This page contains a funny sample speech for Middle School or Elementary School graduations for principles, teachers or other key note speakers. The speech template can be customized for graduations from preschool, 8th Grade, Junior High School, clubs, high school or other graduation events as well. This speech is humorous but also talks about dedication and personal commitment. We hope this graduation speech for keynote or guest speakers is helpful.
Let me begin by welcoming all of you to today’s event and thanking (NAME OF PERSON WHO INTRODUCED YOU) for that kind introduction.

I’m very pleased to have been invited to speak here today on what I know is a very special day. It’s special for the graduates, for their proud parents and grandparents, and for their very relieved teachers. Just wait until these students are graduating college. Then their parents will be the

relieved ones.

As I begin, I have to say, I think the best speeches are those that have a great beginning, a memorable end, and not much in between. I will try then to make a great speech. Today is one of those great occasions when we get to celebrate our young people – their achievements, their perseverance and their successes as they grow up. It’s one of the times you can take a break and reflect, feeling good as a parent or a mentor, knowing that the kids you care about are doing just fine and they’re on the right path.

Graduates, you should know that your moms and dads are very proud of you today. They have high hopes for you, and they believe in you, and you are making them proud by showing what you can do. Take a look at them now, and you can see them

Good morning/afternoon teachers and my fellow classmates. Check it off. Yea, that’s right guys, check it off! Check off the box that says, ‘Raina Doshi’, and vote for me to represent you. Graduation is one of the many occasions that bring both a smile and tears to a student. Being the Valedictorian in a graduation ceremony is utmost honour. And I would like to hold that honour. But why, I hope you’re all wondering should we check it off? Why choose her and not any of the other thirteen people up here. It’s because I know, and deep inside your heart you do too, that I can do the best job representing our student body. I’ve been going in front of crowds ever since I was singing the ABC’s. Being in numerous piano recitals and talent shows have given me the experience to stand before an audience. Even in school, I’ve been MC for assemblies. I am known as a smart and well-rounded person. My grades this year have more often than not been in the high 80s and 90s. Moving on from my academic achievements, I am also involved in our school community. I am a part of Helping Hands, and I hang with a grade 1 student during nutrition breaks. He’s a child quite different from others who requires special help and attention. I work with him almost everyday. Furthermore, I have already represented our school well at the Future Leaders Development Workshop back in April. Last Fall, I was the new kid. I didn’t know anyone and had no friends. Yes, you might call me a loner, but no one did that. This school gave me the opportunity to fit in. I made lots of incredible friends and memories that I’ll forever cherish. The point is this place has given me so much, I feel obligated to give back and represent it. Thank you all for listening. I hope you will consider me to emblematize you. And don’t forget to check it…

We can all reflect back onto our transition from elementary to middle school. As we gained independence, we also obtained responsibilities. For example, in elementary we were always herded like cattle from class to class, but in middle school, however, we were the ones who were responsible for showing up to our classes on time, or at all. Our next steps will have us…

I am looking forward to describing my most memorable high school and college experiences. I would really love for my teachers to appreciate me for all the hard work I’ve done. For those people that didn’t know about my ambition and what it really meant to sacrifice, it meant a lot to my family. I’ve gotten involved in school activities, community service, and school events and a lot more. I felt that once I graduated from school I would be able to get involved with continuing education even more.…

I would also like to thank my family who is here tonight...especially my grandmother, Elaine Carr, who has shown me a lot of patience and compassion... especially when I haven't been too deserving of it. It was very important to me that I could include all of us in this speech tonight...because my high school experience was made up most of you. So I’m going to talk about the importance of opportunity when it shows up in all of our lives and to grab it tightly when it does show up. Like most of us here, my life has been full of opportunity.…

“Graduation, the hush-hush magic time of frills and gifts and congratulations and diplomas.” You weren’t lying when you said that Maya Angelou. May 19th, 2013 I had dreamt of that day for almost four years. I know I can’t be the only person who feel this way. I remember it as if it was just yesterday. So many different emotions going through my mind all at once. Happiness, Sadness, I felt relieved because it was almost over but at the same time I felt anxious and overly excited to just leave and go far away. 389 seniors were going to walk across the stage and receive their diplomas. After all, our class had the biggest percentage of graduates who were actually…

Hello, I am so honored to speak in front of all the parents, staff and my fellow students today. Wow guys we made it! These past 3 years have been full of so many memories that I know we’ll never forget. Think all the way back to 6th grade we were always the littlest ones and I remember feeling like a fish out of water. We were terrified of getting lost or being late for class, but excited to have a locker to decorate and change classes each period. It doesn’t seem like that was over 2 years ago at all. We came back in 7th grade, much more confident than the year before. We looked down to the new 6th graders, asking "Were we really that short just last year?" And by the end of 7th grade I was shocked that I was officially an 8th grader. 8th grade is defiantly my favorite year. I feel like I have everything under control. But next year is full of changes. We'll have free periods, more homework, electives, and an open campus. The new choices also bring new responsibilities that test us in figuring out how we grow from kids to adults. As we say goodbye on the last day we sit together as Balboa students, we reflect on what has happened the past 3 years, but also look forward to what is coming up in the next 4 years. My advice to future 8th graders is to keep up with your school work and try your absolute best and make lots of good, loyal friends that don’t get you in the bad kind of crowd. And most importantly, have fun! This is the last year you will be the oldest in the school for another 4 years, so enjoy it! I’d like to finish this speech off with this quote : A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.-Ayn Rand…

Today, as a class, we are graduating the middle school, taking another huge step on the path of our life, moving on to a whole new world - high school. Where everything that we do matters and leads up on to our future. But here we go again, starting at the bottom as freshmen. Graduating just doesn’t me completing school, and celebrating. To me, graduating means growing, changing as a whole person, becoming mature, and moving on. All the educational things we learnt has a huge impact on that, but we also changed as people with all the experiences we had with our peers, teachers, and even school activities, such as field trips. Our three years of middle school have been a life changing experience, and we will all carry those amazing memories and experiences with us for not only high school, but our whole lives, not with some diploma or report card.…

Second of all, no matter how many times you witness graduation as a parent, it never stops being special. It was gratifying watching the two of them graduate from high school and college. It was a great moment to watch them officially complete the first step in their life’s journey. Watching them march in with their class and seeing them walk up to the podium with their caps and gowns on to accept that hard-earned diploma, gave me a huge amount of joy and pride.…

School and education is – what they say – the most important thing for society. That education is the way to get a good life. That as long as you have a great education and a great average mark you’ll do well, and that education will keep you out of trouble, unemployment and poverty. But for children all of this is hard to understand – even for high school-kids. But that is a problem as it is them who are in the education system. Barack Obama therefore holds this speech to inform the kids and youngsters of the importance of a good education.…
