Grant Writing Experience
This presentation was more educational and experimental learning for me. The main point of the presentation was to inform students about grants and how it works. For example, finding grants through internet, types of grants, budget, grant writing and different types of formats. Jodi from office of research and sponsored program in St Cloud State University gave us the presentation about the grants. Since the grant writing is so competitive, I need to participate and experience more in to grant writing workshops and even class. Looking at my experience I have never taken a grant writing class although I have dropped at the first week last semester. This presentation motivated me to enroll a grant writing class. Grant writing would open more doors of opportunities and would prepare students to be motivated to work with any employer. This presentation was interesting to me and it made me open minded about grants. The setting of the presentation was like-class it wasn’t like presentation. We have done a small activity which we wrote interesting brainstorming about a grant. This activity mirrored the grant writing easy and fun for me. We got to choose a topic or project and just followed the instructions. This presentation was focusing only grants. I believe I have got a good picture of what a grant writing would look like. Also, I have a picture if I am going to a grant writing class what to expect. Finally, I believe this is a fun topic to
