Greenville Country Club is experiencing a high rate of volunteer turnover in their server positions. Service is often the deciding factor in the success of any restaurant. With constant server turnover and a lack of employee motivation, Greenville is losing its ability to remain competitive in the local restaurant market. To remedy the situation, Greenville will need to evaluate its hiring and training practices, as well as its compensation and incentives for its servers.

A. Establishing a means of feedback

This can be done through a website, such as, Survey Monkey or an anonymous suggestion box that will be located in the restaurants Human Resources office.
• Create a mandatory exit interview process for departing employees. The interview would include questions like “What are three things that you liked about working for Greenville Country Club?” and “What are three things that you could change about Greenville Country Club?”
• Daily pre-shift meetings to share information, news and ideas in which employees will be encouraged to add to the discussion. These meetings will give employees an outlet to express their individual concerns as they arise on a daily basis.

In addressing these four factors Greenville Country Club has a better chance of successfully improving server morale.
