Gregory Hudson Monologue
Act I Scene I
Gainesville Square. Public place
Sampson and Gregory enter (with guns and body armor)
From the Atlas Pizzeria

Sampson
Gregory, I swear, We cannot let them make fun of us like that. We can’t take that junk.

Gregory
(Teasing Sampson) No. Because then we would be trash.

Sampson
What I mean is that if they make us mad. We will pull our guns and fight!

Gregory
Maybe you should try and not get in trouble Sampson.

Sampson
I beat people up when I am angry.

Gregory
We all know that it is hard to make you mad.

Sampson
That trash from the Montague house can make me angry.

Gregory
Angry enough to run away. You won’t stand up for yourself.

Sampson
That trash from that house will make me mad enough to stand up for myself. If I pass

But no, love does whatever it wants. So where are we gonna eat? (sees all the blood). What the heck happened here? What Fight? Wait please don’t say it. It was supposed be about hate, but it was more about love. Love! Loving Hate! Love is heavy and light, bright and dark, hot and cold, sick and healthy, and asleep and awake. It tries to be everything except what it is supposed to be. This is the love I feel. Why the heck are you laughing?

Benvolio
No fam, I’m crying because of how sad you are.

Romeo
Yes, that is what love does to you. My sadness sits heavy on my shoulders and you want to add your sadness on top of mine. So now there is even more. I already have enough sadness on me, and now you are going to make me sadder by feeling sorry for you. This is what love is: a smoke made out of lover’s sigh. When the smoke clears, love is a fire burning in our lover’s eyes. If you frustrate love, you get a ocean of lover’s tears. What else is love? It’s form of craziness. It’s a cough drop that you can choke on. Bye cousin.

Benvolio
Hold up. Let me come with you. If you leave me, you are doing the wrong thing.

Romeo
I’m not myself. I’m not here. I’m not this Romeo you speak of. The old Romeo is somewhere

Everett Gray couldn’t tell you the last time he could properly breathe. Even during hockey competitions, there had always been an issue where he couldn’t quite get the amount of air that he really needed to keep going. Sweat would run down his cold skin, as he pulled at the collar of his uniform. His chest would heave, yet all the air seemed to get stuck in his throat, turning into a suffocating lump. He felt his phone vibrating in his pocket, but he refused to make a move to look at the messages being sent.…

    John Edelman Monologue

In the small, peaceful village of Rhinebeck, where tourists and travelers from all over the country venture through, a wooden cottage stood just off of Main Street. Within the cottage lay a middle aged man by the name of John Edelman. His short, scruffy beard had begun to remodel itself into a plain of grey, and his once youthful olive skin had turned pale with creases around his eyes and mouth. Most villagers, if asked about John, would have nothing but positive remarks. Kind, quiet, and caring, he often engaged in projects to improve the community, and had come to the aid of many friends.…

On the early Sunday morning around 10:45am, Sampson and Gregory, known servants of the Capulet family, were spotted walking around Verona Square running errands for the family. Trouble stirred when Abraham, a known servant of the Montague family, and friend ran into Sampson and Gregory. Christopher Sutton, a local baker, said he watched the fight go down. “The fight started when Sampson bit his thumb at Abraham, and they started arguing about whether Sampson really did bite his thumb.” he said.…

Benvolio not only demonstrates honesty, but also loyalty. He shows an example of his loyalty to Romeo, as he is depressed about love, as he loves someone and she does not love him back. Benvolio then tells Romeo the he would, “rather weep./At thy good heart’s oppression.” (1.1.173,175). While Romeo is weeping, Benvolio states that he…

They say all is fair in love and war, but sometimes war is the only option. Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare gives us the blessed story of the forbidden lovers Romeo and Juliet, who marry under Friar Lawrence’s power, and die by their own wills to avoid the long-standing suffering of losing each other Through the ages, we have depicted great acts of violence, from bombs, to slaughters, to hostile takeovers. We have settled with words before with our guns, hopefully before there are casualties. Yet, words have not always settled the score, not being enough to provide salvation for those innocent and those fighting In our world, words aren’t always the best or most final choice, yet we could’ve had a much more solid answer with physical confrontation and violence.…

I am an Ewell. ever since I was born, all I can remember is wanting to be important though my parents tell me that I shouldn’t expect too much or I will end up disappointing myself. Even though I always tell them that all the others kids get better toys and I deserve more, they say that we can’t get them because we're poor. I don’t really know what “being poor” is, but I have a feeling that they really just don’t get me toys because they’re so focused on some court case. Somedays, I wish some normal family from Maycomb and then I could finally be a normal kid. I’ll have a Radio, hot water, and as much icecreams as I could ever want. Although I have my grievances with my current family, I don’t think I could ever really abandon them. I don’t…
