The Lair of Grendel's mother is an underwater lair that is a little hard to get to. You have to swim underwater for a little bit till you reach a cavern. As it says in the book, “He soon noticed that he was now in some strange cavern where no water could harm him and the fangs of the depths could never reach him through the roof. He saw firelight flung in beams from a bright blaze.” This lair is though as “Hell.”

This Hall was Hrothgar eating place and place of party. This hall was a fancy dining hall with a massive dining table that could sit many people. Heorot is a mead hall that is built by Hrothgar and is suppose to be the tallest building around. It has gold inlay decorations in the wood used to make it. Hrothgar's main motivation for building such a building is to have something big in his legacy in his people's oral tradition and he wishes to live up to the greatness of his ancestors and forebearers.
