The students were encouraged to ask each other questions as well as add to and challenge the answers provided by others. I utilized this opportunity to move students, as I seen fit, when formulating these groups. This allowed me to unite the lower ability student with the higher ability student. I felt this coming together greater impacted on the overall development of the students social skills. It gave the lower ability student confidence to offer an answer up to the teacher for consideration knowing that what she is about to say is coherent, having came to its conclusion with another student. I praised the good that she attempted to do and tried to ignore what wrong she does, in the hope that praise becomes a goal and provided her with motivation for further appropriate behaviour and…

Sometimes, what we yearn for can seem too far away or just too hard to reach. As I attempt to reach my goals I may face some barriers. If I want to reach my goals, I will have to get around them. Time management and finances are two barriers that prevent me from completing some of my short-term goals, i.e. bachelor’s degree and certification in ACLS and PALS in a well-timed manner, I work 10 days in a 2-week period from the hours of 3pm to 11pm. With work occupying most of my time its hard for me to focus on more than 1 class at a time and to make it to a certification class. As for my long term goals, having the suitable qualifications to acquire and hold the title of certified oncology pediatric nurse and nurse practitioner can be a barrier. Attaining a job in adult oncology to fulfill the requirement to have completed 1,000 hours of practice, something I cannot get without being qualified to be hired on an oncology unit would inhibit me to achieve my goal as a certified oncology pediatric nurse. Achieving success to accomplish my goals will require commitment and…

This is about my cousin on my mother side named Rose Frances Pablo. She’s 5 years older than me. I can say that we really get along together, maybe it’s because we often visit them either on vacation or Christmas break. We also went together on my mother’s province before. Since I only have one more year before I go into college, I asked her what courses could be suitable for me and what school. She told me that I should choose the course that I really want and think about my strengths. She also said that I should have 2nd choice of course because some school would ask what would be my other choice of course. She also said that she took entrance exam in 4 schools. And those schools are Philippine Normal University, De La Salle University – Manila, University of Santo Tomas, and University of the Philippines. She almost passed in the exam in UP. Someone said that they could still work on it but they didn’t know and she doesn’t want to study there. She passed her second choice of course in UST but she really wants to take Psychology that’s why she considered applying or going to DLSU because she passed the exam there, even in PNU. The entrance exam in DLSU includes an essay in English and Filipino and it has to be 200 words or above. While the entrance exam in PNU is quite easy because there’s no Math. But because of some problem, she wasn’t able to reserve in DLSU because she needs to reserve for her position and the reservation fee is 5,000 pesos. That’s why she just went to PNU but according to her, she really doesn’t want to study there because she doesn’t want to end up teaching children because that’s not what she likes. She really wants to take Medicine but she thinks that it’ll take many years, so she just chose a course that is in line with Medicine and that is Psychology. She only stayed in PNU for one year and after that, she transferred to another school. She transferred in St. Scholastica’s College – Manila. And now she’s in her 2nd year. She should be…
