This is the reality of many Sydney siders, the problem is because of our growing population. It is quite obvious that Sydney is growing, with a population of 4,128,272 in 2001 to over 5 million now. With our high class universities, diverse culture and high end business, more and more people all over Australia and the world are drawn to Sydney. However, with a growing population, that means our government must keep up with the demands of the people and city.

If there are a small amount of people in a classroom, the teacher will have enough time and resources to focus on those people. If the classroom had a large amount of people, the teacher can only put their full attention on some people with the others being left to manage by themselves. That is the same with Sydney, with less people the government can focus on their problems and can quickly resolve them, but with the increase in population most of the cities problems would be ignored for bigger problems. This can lead to those small problems becoming completely untouched and never resolved.
With all of the problems that lead from Sydney’s increasing population, I can’t view it as anything except bad. If Sydney can find a way to address all these problems then hopefully we can cope as a city. In the end though, we can’t do anything to stop this ever-growing city. Only if we find ways to improve these problems then can we at least make it more manageable for the people. I then view Sydney’s future to be in store for major
