No Vacation at Guantanamo Bay
As part of the United States judicial system, Guantanamo Bay detention center was formed under the Bush administration, in result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Guantanamo Bay is a detainment facility that the United States designed to detain terrorists, and enemies caught during war. The facility also is used for the U.S. to interrogate criminals, and terrorists with military tactics. This detainment facility is located on a United States naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The foundation of this center, and others like it provides a sense of homeland security for the Americans, and other surrounding countries. Being a born and raised New Yorker, the terrorist attacks from 9/11 holds a sentimental value. In result of those attacks, in 2002 the Bush Administration implemented a system of centers specialized for highly dangerous world criminals. The terrorist actions that took place in 2001 hits home for any citizen of New York City. This is why the people demanded the Government to set some sort of retaliation in place. In support of the war declared on terrorism, the bush administration had the support of the Supreme Court to legalize the usage of the camps. In the United States jails are segregated on different levels, such as jails for juvenile delinquents, psychiatrics, military, minimum, medium, and high security prisons. Each prison serves different purposes some with more extreme consequences than others. Guantanamo Bay is a convenient way to deal with more advanced criminals, because of terrorists mind sets towards the United States. Guantanamo Bay is an exceptional way to find out past and future information on terrorists attacks and find out different tactics to prevent any upcoming attacks to harm the United States. Terrorists can influence regular inmates if they are imprisoned together. In most cases when jail members attend prison they tend to join different groups
