1. Conduct a research on the following: 1. History of the guidance program of your school and that of nearby school. 2. Compare the guidance program of that school with your school.
Answer:
The guidance program in our school is much the same with other school nearby. In our school the guidance program aims to provide services which will contribute to realization of potentialities of the students, that’s why they conduct personality test and sometimes aptitude test to measure both of their aptitude and other potentials.

1. Identify the different factors that resulted in the need for guidance in the Philippines. Explain
Answer:
Back at 1932 Dr. Sinforoso Padilla started a clinic which aims to deal with student’s cases concerning their emotional, discipline, academic, and vocational problems. This was the earliest recorded guidance program in a school. This was followed in the beginning of the school year 1939 to 1940 where in the Division of City Schools in Manila appointed a “Dean of Boys” and a “Dean of Girl” which the sole purpose is to look after the general behavior and conduct of students referred to them by classroom teachers. If you are going to analyzed it the development of guidance in Philippines was resulted from their aim to study the student’s wants and interest also with their desire to promote the students welfare.

1. What are salient features of your guidance program that makes it more effective in guiding the students?
Answer:
I can say that the salient features of our guidance program is its commitment in helping student to find a good OJT site for the graduating students and also a good place of employment for those who have graduated from the school.
