The song I will be analyzing and performing is Halo. This song is written and performed by Beyonce. This song is mainly about someone she loves. I chose this song because I think it has a very great meaning. I believe this song is a metaphor signifying a woman who got her heart broken and she built walls to protect herself. Then she meets a guy who breaks the walls and builds her trust. This song uses a variety of figurative languages. One figurative language is “remember those walls I built,” which is an example of an idiom because what shes saying is not taken literally.
