Aung San Suu Kyi, a Burmese politician had seen the harsh rule of U Ne Win taking over Myanmar and protested against him however, in 1989 the government put Suu Kyi in jail and later under house arrest in 2009. After she had been freed she continued her political work in fighting for the rights of Burmese people and eventually
helped the people of Burma gain democracy. Without Aung San Suu Kyi breaking the law Myanmar would still be under strict dictatorship
Although it may be dangerous to be defiant in the eyes of the law, sometimes there isn't any other choice. Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani Teen who illegally advocated for the rights to education for women and children despite death threats being sent by the taliban. Malala was shot, survived and proceeded to help aid and care for the women and children of Pakistan. Because of Malala’s benevolent and courageous actions, education in Pakistan for young women and children is becoming more attainable
