Veterans Role Model
A veteran is a person who has had experience working in a particular field for a vast amount of time; or as it is more commonly referred to one who has served in the military. Veterans who have served in the US military are very important members of our society. They have fought for the safety and future of our country, and without them, our country might not be what it is today. Some tend to not consider how much veterans truly sacrifice. They risk their well-being, being separated from their loved ones, and ultimately their lives. To honor everything our veterans have done and risked for our country, we need to carry out our responsibilities as Americans.
As an everyday citizen of America, we all have the same responsibilities. At the age of 18 citizens are given the right to vote. It is important for the people to give their opinion on how they think the government should run, and let their voice be heard. Also, it is an important part of being a citizen to attend jury duty when one is selected.

By following and respecting the laws it makes a good community, and teaches the children who look up to one to do the same. Also, taking responsibility for one's actions and duties is key to shaping a good community. One of the most important aspects of being an American citizen is to support and defend our constitution. For example, our right to freedom of speech is one of the most common rights abused. While freedom of speech gives us the right to verbally express how we feel, it does not give us the right to abuse and abuse other people. Another example of one abusing our rights is illegally owning a

In the span of our existence, humans have always seen soldiers and war veterans as higher than man. Though this is evident in our culture today, we have also realized that those who return come back in different forms. A war veteran is seen as someone with endless amount of courage and infinite power of will. We see it all the time whether it’s a picture, television ad displaying a soldier standing tall and holding their country’s flag proudly, or it’s the iconic picture taken in Iwo Jima (if you don’t know which one that is, it is the one of all the soldiers lifting the American flag on top of a hill). These representations are about pride, honor, courage, and everything great about the United States.…

Veterans are men and women who have fought to protect our right to be free. These people put their lives on the line; risking the loss of bones, organs or even memory. These are extraordinary human beings if I say so myself. They deserve to be treated like royalty, yet more than 67% of the homeless population have served for our country for at least than 3 years. 47% of them served in the Vietnam War. This goes to show how “united” the United States really is.…

become a person of value”. ~Albert Einstein.Veterans are not just men and women who went to war. Veterans are the cause, we live in a safe country they are the cause, we walk on the sidewalk laughing and enjoying what life brings us. But the question in my mind is we laugh, play, and learn, what about Veterans they don’t laugh, they cry they don’t play they fight they don’t learn they die. We are not grateful we don’t respect the lives we live in every day. But that's not the point, we don’t even remember the reason we laugh, play and learn, if I were to tell you the number of people who died for us to have a bright future those numbers won’t matter the thoughts will. When I think about Veterans day I think about people who came back from the war and live a happy life, but I was wrong after learning the truth. Veterans day was the day we respect what we lose but even more we respect what we gained. That is what Veterans day means to me.…

Voting is a duty that must be fulfilled by every citizen at some point in their lives. Voting gives the citizens of the U.S. a chance to express themselves through an anonymous voice. There are a few restrictions on voting, which include age, citizenship, and in some states weather you’re a convicted felon. I believe that it is unfair that some states make it so felons can’t vote. I really believe felons should be allowed to vote simply because everyone makes mistakes, and some felons have to rejoin society eventually.…

Veterans were sent to other countries that they knew nothing about and had to learn so many new things. Since they are usually there for a long period of time, they had to learn the ways of those countries. They have sacrificed months to years at a time without seeing their children or families. Sometimes they did get to go home on leave, after being gone for over…

n for these veterans defending Americans of the United States in past wars, we may not be free right now. These men and women risk their lives to our freedom, and this took a great deal of bravery and sacrifice. Many veterans even died, and I have seen on the news where many more are still dying, and families are losing their loved ones. It is very sad that many people choose to risk their lives, but they knew the risks and felt it was their duty and honor to fight on our behalf. So what is a veteran to you? Is it a soldier, a person in the air force, someone fighting in the marines? That's not what they are to me. They are fighters, answering the call of duty, responding to our prayers, and most importantly that they help fight for our country, the United States of America.…

Veterans are the individuals who have served so as to respect and ensure their nation. As these people intensely honed their convictions in flexibility, they coincidentally reworked history, and we as Americans honor these nationalists why should willing give a definitive penance. Veterans Day is the day that we put aside to respect the individuals who served, however one day does not cover all the gore. The day is insufficient to demonstrate the gratefulness which is because of the incalculable number of gallant men and ladies. The American individuals ought to accomplish more to show appreciation to their veterans.…

Veterans are an important part of our nation and do not get the credit that they deserve. Veterans have risked their lives for this country countless times, yet they go unappreciated a lot of times. From a personal stance, my grandfather is a retired veteran himself and he fought in the Vietnam War. If my grandfather had not been able to get on his feet from retiring from the Navy, I would hope that there would be some type of support system for him. A lot of veterans today do not have the support system that they had when they were in the service. Once the veterans are out of the service their lives are not structured while in the service they were organized and controlled.…
