I disagree with Hasselstrom theory that a gun is the only method to protect yourself against sexual assault. Aside from the fact that she contradicts "peaceful" philosophy, she only tried non-violent methods when she was trying to protect herself used "spray cans of deodorant" to keep her safe and she never encountered a situation that negating that contradicted that it worked.

She never disproves the functionality or reliability of the non-violent ways of protecting herself. She only used anecdotes when she used the gun to protect herself in order to enforce that it was the only way by suggesting that any other method would" get you raped and beaten anyway."
