¹The smaller variant of cars that is the hatch back is a better option over a sedan.² People like to buy hatch backs as they are more practical cars. In a hatch back the rear seats can be folded and create more space than a sedan. ³These cars are more fuel efficient and also have low maintenance cost. On the other hand the sedans are less fuel efficient and their maintenance cost is also very high. ⁴The price difference between the vehicles is also high. The hatch backs are cheaper than the sedans. On an average there is a difference of $10,000 in the cost of both the variants the hatchback and the sedan.
⁵The only benefit that the sedan owners have is the power of the vehicle. Being bigger in dimensions, it gives the freedom to the company of making a bigger and powerful engine. On an average there is a 1.1lt engine in a hatchback and in a sedan it is a 1.4lt engine. ⁶The bigger the engine the vehicle is less fuel efficient. Even in this the hatchback is a better buy as it is more fuel efficient. This way money is also saved and the environment is harmed less. ⁷Being bigger in dimension does not mean that the sedan is a more comfortable option, both the sedan and the hatchback have maximum of 5 seats.
⁸Repair and maintenance of both the variants is different. The hatchback has a low maintenance cost and its parts cost less in comparison to the sedan. The time take to service a sedan is more than that taken for a hatchback. ⁹The average hatchback and sedan have the same transmission but being light in weight the hatchback generates more power and can win over a sedan in a race. ¹⁰The safety systems are also same in both the variants. There are air bags and anti breaking system (abs) provided in both the cars. This being said hatch back is the better option than the sedan.
¹¹Now days people believe in showing off. Hatchbacks now days are built

Cost, a truly great sports car should cost more than a normal sedan or coupe, as speed does cost money; however it should not be so exorbitant in price, that it is unobtainable by the average person. Average family cars range in price from the Toyota Sienna minivan at a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $25,000 to a Dodge Avenger that can be purchased at a MSRP of $20,000. You can expect a high performance sports car to be well above that, and most are, with some approaching the price of a single family home (Federal Trade Commission, 2006). Why such a difference in price? Where a typical family car is designed and built with technology focusing more on utilitarian purposes such as safety, and carrying a whole family with their belongings, a sports car on the other hand will make sacrifices in these areas for performance, and power, although with the right technology, nearly the same level of comfort and safety can be maintained.…

According to Couton et al.(2006), various studies have applied hedonic price modeling to show that price variation among new cars can be explained by differences in key product characteristics such as horsepower, engine capacity, speed, and safety features. However, these measurable variables may not be the main explanatory factors which will influence the choice of consumers. Based on the above mentioned content, this research will focus on the decisive factors which will impact the public's final choice of car, especially in the…

    Last Product Purchased

The last product I purchased was my new car. It is a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. The customer for this product would be a young adult to middle aged adult. The customer for this car wants a car that is smaller in size but one that also has plenty of room for at least 4 people. The closest brand to this car would be, in my opinion, the Pontiac G8. When I purchased my Malibu I went to test drive the G8. It was a 2011 and had only a few miles on it. It was traded in for a different car because the car was too small for the current owner. I loved the G8 and it was everything I wanted. It was only a couple thousand dollars less than the Malibu and the Malibu was brand new with only 20 miles on it. My husband is the one who really liked the Malibu and talked me into test driving it. Needless to say that is the car I choose. I chose this particular car because with the FREE extended warranty and the rebates on this car it turned out to be a cheaper car than the G8 but also a better car. Honestly the marketing on this car did not influence my opinion at all. I never thought about this specific car until at the dealership that day. When I purchased this car Chevrolet has awesome rebates and interest on their new vehicles. After my purchase I stared seeing, or paying attention, to the commercials on this car and I am positive I made the right decision. If I would have paid attention to the commercials on this car it would have been the car I chose…

In 1902, only 23,000 cars were in operation in America compared with 17 million horses. Yet, 50 small motor clubs had been formed by motoring enthusiasts across the country. The growth of the number of cars is incredible today. According to the Bureau of Transportation, there are 254,212,610 registered passenger vehicles. 1902 to today, the number of cars has grown about 254,189,610. Furthermore, imagine the number in car in the next century. The number of Cars in 1902 to 2015 is just the half of it. With current and/or new technology that is soon to come, the design of the car in a century would be dramatic as well. For example, some people in 1902 described automobiles as “horseless carriages”. Today some people describe as cars as efficient and high- quality. The safety in cars today is better for collisions. Although price increased by A LOT it is worth the pay. Moreover in 100 years, there would be a dramatic change in the number of cars in America, the design, and the price.…

To begin with, the style of a Mercedes is luxurious and the Ford truck is dull. First, the advance features of the Mercedes to include the seat warmers, sleep detection and engine size, are heartwarming, but, in the Ford truck the features are only basic. Next, the body style of the Mercedes is compact and sleek as opposed to the Ford truck which is huge and bulky. Finally the seats and space of a Mercedes is cozy and big enough for family of five to ride comfortably and the Ford truck is very stiff, hard and uncomfortable. Therefore, the style of the Mercedes is far more superior to that of a Ford truck.…

The cars of today and the cars of yesterday have many notably similarities as well as many differences. First, lets compare the body of the new versus old cars. In the early era of cars the bodies were more of a way of helping the car support itself and to serve as a platform to bolt parts to. There wasn’t a particular style the makers were going after other than the elegance of the interior, which was a mark of the time. On our halfway point between the beginning and today, when examining the style of the bodies, it become prevalent that the makers began to focus more on looks and styling as opposed to general use. (Motortrend defines this time and the time shortly before as a period in which people wanted their cars to be able to lure a mate into). This is why most of the front ends were long and phallic like, with two doors and a short trunk space. Today the body of the automobile has completely changed in shape and objective, although, some car manufacturers have returned to their roots and began to incorporate styling cues from the hot rod era. Today’s cars have more rounded bodies with a smaller profile. Part of the reason why so much has changed is directly related to the safety concerns of the public. Manufacturers must be aware and proactive of the general car buyer’s consensus…
