On page 353, Havighurst’s developmental tasks is discussed, and goals are categorized as early, middle or older adulthood. Early adulthood is mostly for finding a mate and starting a family, and becoming economically and socially secure. Middle adulthood is maintaining and building upon the bases of early adulthood. Older adulthood is the wrapping up of obligations and adjusting to ultimate death.For many people, these tasks may fit or other people they may not fit at all.
