The primary responsibility of health care managers is to foster an environment that can provide necessary and quality health care at maximum profit. They determine budgets, order and receive supplies, administer payroll and benefits, and distribute regular communications. They keep up with relevant health care laws, technology and standards, and represent their organizations at external meetings, such as community forums and investor gatherings. To determine health care needs and how medical decisions affect the procedures and finances of their facilities, managers conduct regular meetings with doctors, vendors and patients. Once the institutional goals and strategies are established, management then breaks the organization down into teams, departments or individual roles and responsibilities. Organization is a direct result of a successful planning. Implementing and establishing a suitable structure ensure that all division and departments or physically ready to perform the task most efficiently and is staffed and funded appropriately for a smooth operation of the health care facility. Leadership is taking planning, organization and placing of individual or teams in area where they are most effective in order to minimize miscommunication and avoid mistakes that can jeopardize the success of the department. Competency, confidence, and an ability to lead employees in conducting their daily activities shows effective leadership. Establishment and maintaining professional atmosphere in which everybody understands their responsibilities and their roles within the health care organization show great managerial skills. The health care manager takes on many roles and responsibilities including organization, planning, and controlling resources (Lombardi, Schermerhorn, &Kramer, 2007).
