Assignment 3.04
The poor and wealthy are concerned about the freedom from fear. The wealthy are concerned about the freedom from fear. They are the ones in government and have the ablity8 to create change. As for the poor they are the ones struggling due to the lack of income, no jobs, or live in poverty stricken areas. Both Franklin Roosevelt and Obama had a vision of this for everyone everywhere.
Franklin Roosevelt believe this “Freedom means the supremacy of human rights everywhere. Our support goes to those who struggled to gain those rights and keep them. Our strength is our unity of purpose.” Nations are always faces with the opportunity to act in physical aggression but not every nation has protection. This is something Franklin Roosevelt firmly believed.
Obama firmly believes that we need to seek out safety and security for nations in need as well as our own in that prosperity can begin to flourish. “We stand together and we work together and we bleed together and we build together, in good times and in bad, because when we do, our nations are more secure, our people are more prosperous, and the world is a safer and better and more just place. [We seek] security and prosperity…not only for our own citizens, but for people around the world….” As a nation we should come together and strive for these things not just for ourselves but for other as well.
Over the years, the common needs haven’t changed much but access to resources has. Roosevelt and Obama both recognized needs of people everywhere. Both sought change and a better world. I believe that the poor and wealthy are both impacted in different ways and struggle and this empowers their concern.
