Health Code Violations In Small Business

For a small business to have health code violations is not uncommon. Even when a good offer like being seen over a couple thousand dollars it is unethical for an owner to take the offer. Even though the health inspector shouldn’t be offering a bribe one should never take up on an offer that cuts corners. If you cut little corners you will be tempted to cut more and more. Even if its looked over another inspector will eventually need to come in again. This choice would make a store publicly look bad if the word were to get out. And worse if the violations would be harming the customer’s health and causing your store to lose money. The public would look at the store as of a concern and would cause you to lose customers and respect. The safety risks for consumers could be from a small stomach ache to food poisoning which can take someone to the hospital. If the consumers where to find out of the violations and link the illness to the store there would be a major lawsuit on the ice cream stores hands. As for the employees, they can risk losing their job. And of the owner being in charge of their team they should make sure their team should be safe and not dealing with hazardous product.
Nobody like to spend money but sometimes you have no other choice. Even though throwing four thousand dollars down the drain may look like a waste of money it isn’t. You’ll sure be making more money years down the road if your store is open then if your store was shut down a couple months later due to the health code violations. A small business should always be ethical and responsible. It’s always easier to deal with your problems up front so they don’t come around to get you in the future. All in all if I was owner of the business i would turn down the offer of receiving the bribe from the inspector so no further complications are encountered later on in your business’s
