Statement of the Problem This study will determine the health effects of working nights. The findings served as bases for a proposed action plan. Specifically, this study will answer the following questions:
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1 age;
1.2 gender;
1.3 civil status;
1.4 length of service;
1.5 employment status; and
1.6 time of shift and rest days
2. What are the health effects of working on a night shift in terms of:
2.1 physical;
2.2 emotional;
2.3 cognitive
3. Is there a significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the health effects of working on nights?
4. Based on findings, what action plan could be proposed?
Statement of Null Hypothesis There is no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the health effects of working on a night shift.
Significance of the Study The findings of this study will be beneficial to the following: Contact Center Agents. They will be made aware of the health effects of working on a night shift. Managers. They will be able to understand why there are numbers of absences due to health reasons. Human Resource Department. They will be able to use the findings of the study be enriching the faculty in-service training through seminars and trainings on the risk of working night to students/employees. Students. They will be made aware of the risk to their health involve in working nights. Researchers. Intricate studies on the integration of the effects to health working nights to instruction will give the teachers insights on the importance. The conduct of the study will provide basis for the new knowledge that will contextualize prevailing studies and knowledge in the different academic fields which are relevant to the vision mission of the University of Cebu and to the employers of the students. Future Researchers. This could be a very potential literature for any instructors whose interest rest on
