Osteoarthritis- degeneration of joint cartilage and the underlying bone, most common from middle age onward. It causes pain and stiffness, especially in the hip, knee, and thumb joints.
Lithotripsy- a treatment, typically using ultrasound shock waves, by which a kidney stone or other calculus is broken into small particles that can be passed out by the body.
Fibromyalgia- a chronic disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and tenderness in localized areas.
Hiatal (HERNIA?)- Hiatal hernia is a condition in which part of the stomach sticks upward into the chest, through an opening in the diaphragm. The diaphragm is the sheet of muscle that separates the chest from the abdomen. It is used in breathing.
Cystic Fibrosis- a hereditary disorder affecting the exocrine glands. It causes the production of abnormally thick mucus, leading to the blockage of the pancreatic ducts, intestines, and bronchi and often resulting in respiratory infection.
Emphysema- a condition in which the air sacs of the lungs are damaged and enlarged, causing breathlessness……………….. condition in which air is abnormally present within the body tissues.
Parkinson’s Disease- a progressive disease of the nervous system marked by tremor, muscular rigidity, and slow, imprecise movement, chiefly affecting middle-aged and elderly people. It is associated with degeneration of the basal ganglia of the brain and a deficiency of the neurotransmitter dopamine.
Diverticulitis- inflammation of a diverticulum, especially in the colon, causing pain and disturbance of bowel function.
Virus- an infective agent that typically consists of a nucleic acid molecule in a protein coat, is too small to be seen by light microscopy, and is able to multiply only within the living cells of a host.
Rheumatoid Arthritis- a chronic progressive disease causing inflammation in the joints and resulting in painful deformity and immobility, especially in the fingers, wrists,
