Each of the four organizations has their merits and demerits. Their objective is to improve the quality of the healthcare in one way or the other. Hospital organizations need to choose the quality improvement organization based on their specific needs. For example, a hospital located in inner city urban area would have different quality improvement program as compared to a hospital located in the suburbs. However, in general, I believe that the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) program is quite better than the other programs since they have some of the best and extensive educational programs for training healthcare professionals. Also, their certification and recertification programs are based on industry standards
of certifying bodies.
Abigail,
Well summarized post with good examples. Each of this program is developed for different purposes. HRSA is a federal agency with its focus to provide quality of healthcare in the underserved areas. AHQA represents QIO’s and professionals working in communities to improve the quality of care. ARHQ’s main purpose is to improve the quality of care through the best available evidence. Lastly, amongst all, NAHQ is better since it is very well designed and provides some of the best training programs for the healthcare providers.
