Healthy Eating Essay

“Good health and good sense are two of life’s greatest blessings”, said Pubilius Syrus. Some people say that sayings are just there to entertain us. Really though, sayings can be very empowering. In order to keep those laudable blessing with us, we have to maintain our healthy eating, cleanliness, injury and illness prevention, exercise, and of course, other healthy habits. You can stay super healthy surprisingly easily.

Eating healthy is one easy, fun way to stay healthy and by doing that, you can do and eat anything in moderation, because remember, moderation is always the key. Just keep in mind not to skip meals. If you do skip meals, then you might become anemic or have anemia. Being anemic means that you don’t have enough iron in your diet, which can put you in a weak state. Another thing anemia does is that you might be in a poor condition even before you knew you had it, which can’t do justice for you. Especially not for kids. Water is more critical than you think too. Without water for three days, you can die! Water purifies your skin to help prevent acne. Like almost everyone is my family says, “Hydrated skin is happy skin, and happy skin, is clear skin.” An average 5th grader needs 7 to 8 cups of water a day, and that amount increases as you get older. A good way of keeping healthy is not by eating that much junk food. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat junk food, but not exactly junk food is always junk food. Unhealthy food is called junk food if you eat it almost all the time. Like a cookie is okay every once in a while, but maybe not fries every day. By doing this, you can still eat good stuff and stay healthy. A very good thing to keep in mind is to eat fruits and vegetables for vitamins and minerals. All the amount of vegetables you need are 2 ½ cups per day. For

Eating habits have changed dramatically in mostly in children and teens. With all the sweets and saturated fats that’s in stores and the advertisement on T.V. they want more. If we, the parents, make better choices for our children then they will do the same. Kids copy their parents, so what you eat they will try. That means if you have unhealthy eating habits you will need to make a change for yourself and your children. A lot of healthy and unhealthy food are available in grocery stores. Some unhealthy foods include: sugary snacks, salty chips, soda, and carbohydrates. Healthy food such as: fresh produce, dairy products, eggs and many more healthy things. In my opinion, you can eat whatever you want just in moderation. Sweets are in the food pyramid too. So we need a little bit of everything. A little candy never hurt anyone. Not eating enough calories or eating too many calories can be harmful to the body. Some people develop eating disorders because they think they are too fat. Either they don’t eat at all or they regurgitate the food they did eat. This is called anorexia and can happen to anyone. Another disorder is called binge eating which is “an act of excessive or compulsive consumption of food”, says Webster dictionary. When this happens the person over eats and then feels guilty so they regurgitate. This is a very sensitive subject but if you or someone you know has this problem please seek medical help.…

1/ I think one of the social criticisms of marketing’s impacts on individual consumers is the price. Because of the expensive costs of developing such as “long lead times, the need to enlist the help of nutritional experts around the world, and the need to develop products that appeal to the local population’s tastes” (598) Vitango and Nutristar have high price that is out of reach of people in those poor target countries such as Botswana and Venezuela. Moreover, fortified products are also criticized for containing large amount of harmful substance such as fat and sugar that could lead to obesity. For example, high consumption of Nutristar when combined with McDonald can cause health issues to its customers as those products contain a large amount of fat, sugar, salt and cholesterol.…
