The World Is Too Much With Us, William Wordsworth suggests that the world is too irresistible to appreciate what is around us. For instance people are so anxious about money and time that they don’t see the beauty that is around us; which is nature. From what Wordsworth is saying that maybe people don’t have the time to see the natural world because they are spending too much time in their own world. The fact that we really don’t see nature is we have became so engrossed that we are overwhelming ourselves. So we no longer look to see that share of nature. We should value the attractive events of nature, like the moon shining over the ocean, or feeling the strong winds that is blowing or howling at hours. William Wordsworth explains how he wishes he were a Pagan that holds religious beliefs. When he looks out there in the ocean he determined to feel less upset. The whole idea of him being a Pagan would mean that he would see ancients’ gods like Proteus and Triton and to see a dissimilar vision of the world. He explains Proteus as a man who could undertake a quantity of shapes. However, he explains Triton as someone that blows on a conch shell, maybe a mer-man. He would rather see ancient gods, and being a Pagan then him really believing that people are so not in sync with nature. Nature is so willingly accessible that he is so sickened with the people that are around him because he feels like we have given our hearts away for exchange of money so we can be wealthy.…
