Equipment-
A friend to time you as you take your pulse
Stopwatch
Sports gear
Oval
Method- To complete the activity we went down to the oval and took our resting heart rate, we then took our bpm just before we ran the two laps. When we completed our two laps we came straight over and took our pulse again, our final pulse was our recovery pulse, taken 5 minutes after we ran. We wrote our data down in our computers and then transferred it into the two tables labelled “Test 1” and “Test 2” you see below. From this data two graphs were created, you can see these graphs below the tables.

In doing this nutrients and oxygen are moved to the cells of the body. The respiratory systems function is to breathe oxygen in as we inhale and get rid of carbon dioxide as we exhale. Digestion is the breaking down of foods into small particles which are then absorbed into the body. The circulatory system has to work harder during exercise because it needs to ensure that the required blood is pumped to the appropriate areas. The respiratory system changes in the sense that it needs to work harder to get as much oxygen in while we are exercising, or else we won’t inhale as much oxygen as we are exhaling, if this is the case we will pass out. The digestion system needs to give all the nutrients that we get from our food to our muscles, to keep us going during exercise, if you miss out on breakfast or an important meal, you might feel tired and not be able to complete the activity at hand. With all the information gathered, it is clear that my hypothesis was proved by the two discussions above. It was stated in my hypothesis that my heart rate would go up, and it did. It also said that my breathing rate would go up as I ran and it did because as I ran I exhaled more oxygen than I usually would, which meant that I needed to breath faster to get more oxygen in. Overall I believe this was a fair and good test. It would have made the whole
