Heather Makao Biography

Short… was how 33 year old Heather Naomi Ipolani Akao described her high school experience. Working as a certified medical assistant, with a family of 6, having 4 kids (Promise, Joseph, Abraham, and Ethan) and married to a man named Damon Ogata. She never fully went to college but turned out very successful and supporting her family with food, a house, clothes, and vacations. She attend 3 different high schools, first she attended Kealakehe High School for a semester, then moved to Konawaena till she was a sophomore, then she moved to Arizona and enrolled in Career Success High School where she graduated from as valedictorian in the year of 2000. She went to all the school dances and balls as well as sports. In 9th grade she played volleyball for the first time in her life and made varsity that year. She then played softball for kealakehe the same year being voted the best 3rd baseman on the island! Later when she moved to Konawaena and played basketball, her first year playing with the Konawaena JV team she received MVP. She graduated early but “ I loved the time i had in highschool, it was one of my most favorite times in my life.”
She never enrolled into any colleges, instead she moved to Dillon, North Carolina for 6 months working as a hostess at a restaurant named “The Peddler” making 6.25 dollars an hour. After 6 months she decides to move back to Hawaii in the year of 2002. She moved in with her boyfriend's house (William Roback) for a year working as a receptionist making 9 dollars an hour. Later that year she ended her job merely because she was pregnant with her second child Joseph. On the night of January 15, 2003 she gave birth to the her first boy (Joseph Kahanuola
